今天翻翻之前買的怪書，Public Opinion in War and Peace by A. L. Lowell

作者是哈佛 22任校長（1909 - 1933）A. L. Lowell 繼承 Charles William Eliot 的傳奇．

我手上的 Harvard Classic Collection 就是在他接任初期相繼出完的 1909, 1910

另外這本有意思的地方還有，發現 The Old Corner Book store, Inc 的 Tag 

Old Corner Book store 是被列為 1973 National Register of Historic Places 的（曾經）波士頓最老的書店（目前這個地址是Chipotle）．1960 差點被拆掉做停車場，好險被 Historic Boston 救下來．可喜可賀，可喜可賀．另外發現 1869 tenant 是 A. Williams & Co. 我手上有好多他們家出的書啊，不過記得不是很喜歡他們家的binding，紙很硬，粘合太軟，導致只要超過一百年，常常從第一頁斷掉 T^T
